Jual Akitio Node Pro Egpu External Pci E Box For Mac
The 2016 MacBook Pro has endured criticism for its lack of I/O ports, but what that it does have — or Thunderbolt 3 ports based on your configuration — has lots of potential. For example, it’s now possible to connect an external GPU (eGPU) box via Thunderbolt 3 and tap into the power offered by a full-sized graphics card. In this hands-on post, we’re going to showcase how to power the 13-inch 2016 MacBook Pro with an eGPU using. The RX 480 is modestly-priced GPU with a decent amount of power that’s good enough for 1080p gaming. The connection is made possible by means of the — an external GPU box with an embedded 400W power supply, and enough room inside for a full sized card like the RX 480. The nice folks at Akitio provided us with an early unit for testing with macOS. Unlike, the Node features the newer Texas Instruments TI83 controller and is immediately recognized in macOS.
I'm going to assume, because you mentioned specifically eGPUs, that you've budgeted for an actual eGPU enclosure (let's use the AKiTiO Node as an example), instead of a PCIe expansion chassis with an external power supply, as this is not a great idea.
They use numbers like: B1-25+4.3.3 and B1-23+3.6.1 But when you look at details from the taskbar software notification Thunderbolt settings, you get things like PD firmware version and NVM firmware version. How do identify the mapping for these to Akitio’s numbers? Or more simply, how do I know my Akitio Node is running the latest available firmware version? I know Akitio has this tool: But how do make sense of what I am seeing?

Interestingly Apple’s first Thunderbolt 3 Mac, the Late 2016 MacBook Pro, only supports this TI83 controller. Older Thunderbolt 3 enclosures with the TI82 controller such as Razer Core, AKiTiO Thunder3, and Plugable TB3 docks. This is likely a software limitation Apple uses to restrict the implementation of external graphics cards on macOS. AKiTiO Node Thunderbolt 3 board with Texas Instrument TPS65983 (TI83) I’ve been using this AKiTiO Node with a Late 2016 13″ non-touchbar MacBook Pro. It’s an awesome setupin Windows 10 that is.
The Akitio Node features an easy to access internal enclosure that can be used without tools, but the Mantiz Venus features a side access panel that’s even easier to remove. On the other hand, both versions of the Akitio Node are better equipped to handle longer cards. Yet, with all things considered, please remember that external graphics support on macOS is still in its infancy. The Akitio Node Pro works with my 13-inch MacBook Pro running the latest version of macOS, but as I’ve documented in previous posts, it’s still very much a work in progress. The good news is that this spring should mark a major improvement for external GPUs, as Apple has promised that enhancements related to external graphics support will come around then.
Connecting your Mac to the external graphics card enclosure requires a cold boot. Disconnecting the external GPU enclosure while the computer is running will freeze the system and cause a kernel panic. Make sure to always shut your Mac down before unplugging the Thunderbolt cable.

Thanks in advance biar ramein ane coba jwab, mohon map sblonnya klo kurang tepat, - aikito kyanya belon masuk k indo gan,ane udeh sempet nyari kga nemu mungkin agan laen ada yg punya info - klo tb3 mnurut spengetahuan ane performanya ampir setara sama desktop jdi bisa d bling perbedaannya lumyan (exp gdc cuma x1 and bandwidthny mentok d 5Gbit/s klo tb bisa ampe 40Gbit/s) CMIIW. Gan, ane berencana buat beli exp gdc beast dengan vga gtx 1050. Ada yg ingin saya tanyain ke agan2 yang udah pengalaman dalam instalasi Egpu.
If Apple gets behind the concept of external graphics boxes, then I can see this becoming a huge area of interest for anyone who wishes to get more power out of our thin and light Mac computers. We’ll be back with more coverage of eGPUs and the Akitio Node in future posts. In fact, I have another eGPU-related post in the works, this time for Boot Camp users on Windows. If you have any questions, please ask down below in the comments and I will answer them as best as I can.
