Problems With Weather Link For Mac
I like this app better than the web access to the station as it is more organized and easier to read. I wish it would rotate on the iPad, but that’s not really a deal killer for me. The one disappointment is that my weather history only goes back to my migration date. It didn’t actually migrate my previous history going back a couple of years. I really like that it HS the inside temperature and humidity reported. My terminal is back in a work room near my network gear so not that convenient to check physically. JorPet Nice interface for my station I switched my station over to 2.0 as soon as I found out about it.

I ran a test with the console+logger, a hub that handled DHCP and routing, and a single PC. Symptoms are the same, as is the TCP behavior as reported by Wireshark. It would be interesting to find out if the logger just needs the DNS query to succeed, or if it is checking in with Weatherlink as part of the initialization sequence. This is a little troubling as it would make it difficult to pull data from the console in the case where my internet connection was down (say, after a power outage in the middle of a really cool storm). More disconcerting would be the consequences of weatherlink.com going away.
The second response was possible issues with Envoy's but not the case as the same occurs in consoles I don't believe FW updates can be done (outside the place of manufacturer anyway) at this point with the IP version? Yes Pings fine, Tracert is fine. One logger doesn't prove much so looks like the next step is to get a second which should confirm something? One would hope? I responded via PM, but now that I have the power to reply, here's the gist of it for anyone else who may be interested -- If the WL has gotten through DHCP it probably kind of works. One possibility is that the DHCP address ended up on a different subnet -- generally the only address difference between your computer and the WL should be the last part of the ip address. If the addresses differ in other places, check the DHCP setup in your router.

I get an Mac OS system error saying the software did not launch, do I want to Ignore, Report or Relaunch. I did an update to 5.1.0 hoping that would solve the problem. WeatherLink does begin to launch now but a software error message has begun to appear. It says, “java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Applications/Mac OSX WeatherLink/libjspMacOSX.jnilib: no suitable image found. Did find: / Applications/Mac OSX WeatherLink/libjspMacOS.jnilib: no matching architecture in universal wrapper” with an OK button. When I click OK, the software shuts down.'

Is the problem still, 'solved'. I somehow doubt it. On my El Capitan system, the driver works sometimes, like maybe 1 in 10 times a connect is attempted. It's highly unstable. The same problems exists with any and ALL programs trying to use the port.
