At present, the irritation that was caused by the Blemish Cleanser and/or Polish has subsided since I stopped using it. The cleanser was too harsh to be used 2x a day, although it might work well on someone with an oilier or more acne prone skin type. This possibly set off a chain reaction that was difficult to recover from. I humbly ask that the annoying and useless beads in the cleanser be removed. Still, the Polish step was an obvious irritant – and each time I used it, a rash would pop up on my cheeks and hair line. I don’t think it’s gentle enough for those with rosacea, but again – those who can tolerate a stronger scrub may fair better with this product since it did initially leave my skin very smooth.

As I stated in the beginning of the review, the bar was set quite high. While I was unimpressed with the cleanser (oh those darn beads) and unable to successfully use the Polish on my sensitive skin – the Nourish AM/PM Nourishment has a strong ingredient list and I will continue to integrate it into my routine and report back with any notable discoveries.

Overall, I really liked how effective Lancer The Method: Polish was in getting rid of dead skin and prepping my skin for treatments. I will definitely look into the version for sensitive skin once my sample runs out.

Overall my skin is the same so far – no change in tone, texture or feel. It is a little less oily throughout the day, but I have a little itchiness on my cheeks and hairline, although it may just be from the extra heat we’ve been experiencing.

Once I discontinued using the Cleanser and Polish, this seemed to make my skin softer and dewier in the morning with little irritation. FINAL ROAR: I’m not giving up on Lancer Rx.

After DAY FIVE, I started getting itchy red patches on my cheeks which is my common reaction to cosmetics. In subsequent days, I tried to work the products in differently. I stopped using the cleanser twice a day, which may have been too harsh for twice daily use, reintroduced an eye cream since my eye area was starting to get dry and stopped using the Polish all together (temporarily). I’m going to recommit to the routine since sometimes skin goes through an adjustment period. There was only a minor chin breakout – I didn’t expect any since I haven’t had a blemish since I started using Sircuit Skin (their Savior cleanser has 2% Salicylic Acid – so my skin already “purged”) but it quickly healed. I will give it one more week – but if the rash on my cheeks persist I will have to pull the plug on this test. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
